Erica R. Knox advises clients on employee benefits and federal tax law compliance and strategy.  Ms. Knox began her legal career with the United States Department of the Treasury, Office of General Counsel supporting the pension plan administration for the firefighters, teachers, police officers, and judges of the District of Columbia.

Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Knox worked as an Employee Benefits Law Specialist in the Office of Exemption Determinations for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) in Washington, D.C.  Her responsibilities included the evaluation, development, and closure of requests for individual exemptions from the prohibited transaction provisions under Title I of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).  She also represented her office as a speaker in EBSA's Fiduciary Education Campaign. 

Ms. Knox counsels clients on designing and implementing employee benefits that fit the employers’ and employees’ needs.  She is able to explain the complex laws in plain English, making her a key asset to employers as an employee benefits consultant.
